At first just an experiment to see if he could make a small tornado, Strand soon became inspired to go much bigger when he learned about the horror story of Mayfield, KY’s December 10, 2021 tornado. He was specifically inspired to draw attention to the tragedy of the Mayfield Consumer Products candle factory disaster.
